Be Value Driven

BE VALUE DRIVEN

“So they came and called unto the porter of the city… saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there… but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.”
(2 Kings 7: 10)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the lepers in our Scripture Reading discovered food and other valuables in the Syrians’ camp, they went to the porter of the city and sent a message to the king. In Bible times, lepers had no business coming close to the city or speaking with the king.

The lepers had good news for the king, and that good news granted them access despite the protocol that was against them. The good news they had opened the door for them. They were barred from the city, but because they had value that the city needed, the city gave them access.

Friend, God says, the value you carry shall cause protocols to be broken for your sake. The value in you shall grant you open doors that seem higher than your level; the skills and abilities in you will cause you to stand before the kings of this world; the profitable ideas in you will grant you access to high places; the divine deposits that God has placed in you will bring you to the place of honour. The value in you will break protocols for you.

Life is all about the value you have in you. If you have no value, nobody will have any need for you. If you have immense value, even your haters will come looking for you. The value in you is the currency that will procure honour for you in the sight of men. The value in you is your key to relevance in the corridors of power.

Build and increase your value. Build up your skills, abilities, competence, effectiveness, etc. The kings of this world may be far from you, but the value in you will bring them closer.

Pray With Me: Lord, cause me to be loaded with value; may the value in me open doors for me, in Jesus’ name!

Enjoy A Blessed Monday.
